Warrant issued for downtown break-in suspect

Windsor police have a warrant out now for a man who broke into a downtown apartment last month.

Officers responded to a call on the night of Monday, June 27, about a burglary at a Windsor Avenue apartment complex.

Police learned that a man climbed onto a balcony and entered one of the units through an unlocked patio door.

The intruder was startled by the presence of the resident, who was awake at the time. The suspect took off before the police arrived. No one was hurt.

A warrant has been issued for Justin Perkins, 27, who is charged with unlawful entry to a dwelling. He is described as a white male, 5’ 6”, 150 pounds, with short brown hair.

Anyone with information on Perkins' whereabouts should call Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
