Lakeshore has funding for groups working to improve well-being

The Municipality of Lakeshore is looking for applicants who want to enhance the community's well-being.

The 2023 Community Benefit Fund Grant is open to local organizations working to make a positive impact.

It's open to a variety of groups, including those registered with the Canada Revenue Agency and those registered as a not-for-profit organization.

"We're dedicated to nurturing a vibrant and thriving community, and we know the important role that non-profits and community organizations have in helping us achieve that goal," said Mayor Tracey Bailey.

"With the implementation of a simple application process, it's easy for eligible organizations to apply so they can get back to the important work they do every day," added Chief Financial Officer Justin Rousseau.

Before applying group should review the Community Benefit Fund Policy.

The policy names projects that tend to the residents' basic needs, aimed at seniors or youth, promote arts, history, or culture, and beautify the municipality.

Organizations interested in applying can do so on the municipal webpage.
