A summer tradition in Windsor-Essex returns to the streets next month.
The 8th Ouellette Car Cruise will take the streets of Downtown Windsor on August 18, and thousands of vintage vehicle owners and car buffs are expected to show off their machines.
The cruise is being put on by the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association (DWBIA).
"Downtown Windsor is excited to once again host hundreds of classic, vintage, and muscle cars from the collections of some of the most discerning and stylish drivers this side of Canada," said the DWBIA in a media release.
The event begins at 1 p.m. with the Rendezvous at Riverfront Festival Plaza, where car owners may gather before the actual cruise begins at 6 p.m.
The DWBIA said that due to increased costs of policing and venue rental, a $10 admissions fee will be assessed for those participating in the Rendezvous.
The cruise will follow a route consisting of Ouellette Avenue, Tecumseh Road East, Pillette Road, and Riverside Drive East, ending at 9 p.m.
Registration is available online on the official DWBIA website.
