Windsor police arrested 11 people for shoplifting at two local department stores this week.
Officers from the POP (Problem-Oriented Policing) Unit teamed up with the loss prevention teams at both stores for a targeted operation to thwart retail theft.
Between July 26 and 28, over $4,500 of stolen merchandise was recovered and 11 people were arrested and charged with theft under $5,000. One suspect was also charged with breach of probation.
A 58-year-old man was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for theft.
