Organizers are preparing for the 15th annual charity motorcycle ride for the Downtown Mission.
This year's On a Mission for the Mission Charity Ride will be on August 27.
Around 400 motorcycle riders are expected to start at Chuck's Roadhouse on Legacy Drive and take an hour and a half route to Colchester Bar and Grill.
All money raised will go directly to the Downtown Mission food bank. Last year's event raised $24,000 for the charity. Organizers are hoping to raise at least that much again this year.
"After working with the club and seeing how some people are disadvantaged and especially through COVID, that's when I got involved, you can really see how people are affected by that. There are a lot of people in the county right now that need that extra help," said Shaun Fathers, one of the organizers of the event.
Anyone interested in signing up can register on the day of the event at Chuck's Roadhouse or through Event Brite.
If you are not interested in taking part in the ride, you can still register for the event to help raise money and take part in the meal at Colchester Bar and Grill.
