Two arrested after home invasion

Two people are facing charges after a home invasion in Windsor's west end Saturday.

Around 7 p.m. officers were called to Randolph Avenue near Wyandotte Street.

Victims reported to police that two individuals knocked on their door and then forced their way into the home. Both suspects pushed the victims and one threatened and assaulted one of the victims using a blunt object. After the assault, the suspects took off.

Both victims had minor, non-life-threatening injuries.

Through investigation, officers learned the individuals were known to the victims and this was not a random assault.

Officers arrested both suspects a short time later without incident. A 25-year-old and 28-year-old are facing charges of forcible entry, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Crimes Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4830.
