If you were hoping to tour the tall ship HMCS Oriole in Amherstburg this weekend, you may be disappointed.
The ship was scheduled to arrive in Navy Yard Park Thursday night. Unfortunately, water levels prevented it from docking safely.
Instead, the captain decided to dock the ship with the Coast Guard. The ship will remain there throughout the weekend unless water levels change.
The captain of the vessel will be assessing conditions daily. Should docking at Navy Yard Park be possible, tours will resume.
Amherstburg's annual Art by the River at Fort Malden will continue as scheduled.
