"Surreal," says Belle River's latest lottery winner

A 58-year-old grandfather in Belle River admits he was confused when he checked his numbers on the OLG App and discovered he had won $250,000.

"I knew I'd won something but was confused when I saw the screen," said Andrzej Myslowski.

So, he took his INSTANT CASH IN ticket to Freshway Mart on County Road 22, where he bought it.

Even when the winning jingle played, he wasn't sure.

"When the clerk told me I had to wait for a call from the OLG, I was even more confused," Myslowski said.

His wife was just as surprised.

"Much like me, she was puzzled at first. Once that passed, she was so happy, and we hugged in celebration," said Myslowski. "It was wonderful to have that moment with her."

Myslowski plans to share his winnings with his children, save for his upcoming retirement from the auto industry, and take a trip.

"I'll be sure to splurge on a special experience with my wife to celebrate," he said.

"It took a while for me to accept that I had won the big prize," he confessed. "It feels surreal to see my name on the cheque, but I'll believe it when I see it in my bank account."
