The family wasn't home when the fire ignited in a bedroom in the basement, and died out before they got home.
However, it still caused $100,000 damage.
The family was back in their home on Sunday.
The investigation continues on Monday with an investigator from the Windsor Police Arson Unit.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
