Driver stopped for speeding with child in improper car seat

A Windsor driver is finding out the hard way why it is so important to follow the speed limit and properly buckle in their child.

The Ontario Provincial Police stopped their vehicle on Hwy. 401 in Chatham-Kent after their vehicle was clocked at 45 km/h over the speed limit.

Once the vehicle was pulled over, the officer noticed a 3-year-old child who was not belted into their car seat properly.

Now, the driver faces speeding and seatbelt-related charges.

Police remind drivers to buckle up, slow down, and ensure car seats are properly installed.
