Not one or two, but three tornadoes touched down during a severe thunderstorm just over a week ago in Windsor-Essex.
The Northern Tornadoes Project confirmed a third twister near Cottam.
It measured EF-1 and had wind speeds of 145 km/h, strong enough to damage several homes and barns, and bring down trees and power lines.
The third tornado started just where a twister in Tecumseh left off.
While investigating the tornado in Tecumseh, researchers found a new damage path that extended northeast.
The tornado in Tecumseh on August 24 measured EF-1 and also had wind speeds of 145 km/h.
One in West Windsor was measured at EF-0 with wind speeds of 125 km/h.
