Man arrested after break-and-enter

A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged after flagging down police for help.

Around 5:30 Monday morning, officers were flagged down by a man who needed medical attention in the area of Chrysler Centre and Tecumseh Road East.

Officers discovered the man had outstanding warrants in British Columbia and he was arrested before he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Further investigation revealed a man fitting his description was seen on video surveillance breaking into a commercial business in the same area earlier in the night. It appeared his injuries were consistent with breaking a window.

Windsor police charged the 34-year-old with break and enter and mischief under $5,000.
