OPP seek driver after Pride crosswalk in Leamington is damaged

The Ontario Provincial Police has released photos after a pride crosswalk in Leamington was damaged.

Police hope someone will recognize the pickup truck used to leave tire marks across the crosswalk.

It happened around 8 p.m. last Friday on Erie Street South.

Anyone with information can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tipsters can also submit information at www.catchcrooks.com

"The OPP does not tolerate or condone acts of hate against a person or property based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, colour, religion or religious dress, sex, age, mental or physical disability, or sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression," said a release from the OPP. "These grounds are referenced in the Criminal Code of Canada and the Ontario Human Rights Code."
