Police investigating shooting in Amherstburg

The Amherstburg detachment of the Windsor Police Service is investigating after shots were fired at a home on Hawthorne Crescent.

Police were called to the area of Hawthorne Crescent and Pickering Street around 12 a.m. Thursday for a report of gunshots.

Investigators found that a number of shots were fired at a home but there were no known physical injuries reported.

Members of our Amherstburg Criminal Investigations Division believe this to be a targeted incident.

Residents in the area with surveillance or dashcam footage are asked to check for possible video evidence between 10 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on October 11, 2023.
