The University of Windsor will hand out more than 1,600 degrees at the Toldo Lancer Centre on Thursday and Friday.
During this fall convocation, the university will welcome 1,653 graduates, their families and the community in four sessions.
Those graduating from programs in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Odette School of Business, and Faculty of Graduate Studies will be honoured during the first session starting at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Starting at 2:30 p.m., graduates in programs at the Faculties of Education, Human Kinetics, Law, Nursing and Science will receive their degrees.
The third session starts at 9:30 a.m. on Friday for those in Civil, Environmental, Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Engineering graduates in the General, Industrial, Mechanical and Mechanical-Automotive programs will be recognized in the fourth session starting at 2:30 p.m.
"Convocation serves as a powerful reminder of the transformative potential within our university community," said Registrar Ray Darling. "This year's 120th University of Windsor convocation is a testament to our commitment to academic excellence and the incredible accomplishments of our graduates."
The university will present two graduates with the Governor General's Gold Medal. Not only were Mitchell DiPasquale and Ehsan Ur Rahman Mohammed chosen for their academic achievements but also for other indicators like scholarships, publications and research.
This year's Distinguished University Professors are Mechanical, Automotive and Materials Engineering Professor Ahmet Alpas and Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Jonathan Wu.
