CP Holiday Train 2023 dates announced for southwestern Ontario

The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train will be rolling through southwestern Ontario next month with stops expected in Windsor, Chatham, and London.

The Holiday Train supports food banks and food shelves by raising money, food, and awareness for food insecurity issues.

The train will return to the region this year on November 23 and 24, with professional musicians playing free concerts from the brightly decorated train's stage.

CPKC makes a donation to the local food shelf at each stop and encourages attendees to donate.

This year’s edition will feature Canadian singer-songwriter Kiesza from Calgary and the Australian band Seaforth during all three stops.

The train will make its first stop in London on November 23 at 8:15 p.m. Residents will be able to catch the festive freight and performances at the Richmond Street railway crossing between Oxford and Central Avenue.

On November 24, the train will stop in Chatham at 2:30 p.m. Residents are being asked to gather at the Holiday Inn Convention Center located at 565 Richmond Street in Chatham.

From there, the train will make its way into Windsor at 5:45 p.m. with a stop at the CPKC railyard at Erie Street and Janette Avenue.

Since its inception in 1999, the campaign has raised more than $22.4 million and collected 5.15 million pounds of food to support those in need nationwide.
