Windsor police seek identity of unknown woman

Windsor police are hoping someone can help them identify a woman who went missing last month.

Around 3 a.m. on September 24, Windsor officers were called to the foot of Ouellette Avenue on a report of a person who went into the Detroit River. Windsor police were joined by the Ontario Provincial Police water rescue team in a search of the area but could not locate the woman.

The person is described as a White female, around 40 years old, 5' 6", with a large build and curly red hair. She was wearing dark clothing and white Puma running shoes.

Anyone with information on who the person might be should call Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (3434).
