Preparations continue for Windsor's Bright Lights

The set-up for Windsor-Essex's biggest holiday celebration is slowly transforming a park into a showplace.

Crews have continued to work on the upcoming edition of Bright Lights Windsor at Jackson Park. Preparations began a week ago when fencing along Tecumseh Road East was put up. The service road north of the Queen Elizabeth II Sunken Gardens was also closed.

The next stage will include perimeter fencing being added to enclose the west side of the park. The fencing will block off the west side of the pathway running by the replica warplane monument.

Access to areas of Jackson Park that are not affected by this work will be maintained.

The light displays attracted over 100,000 people to the area last year. The festival also includes activities, live entertainment, and local vendors.

Bright Lights Windsor will run from December 1, 2023, to January 7, 2024.
