Four arrested after stolen vehicle found in Windsor

The recovery of a vehicle recently stolen has led to the arrest of four people.

Windsor police officers were patrolling the area of Howard Avenue near Devonshire Mall on Tuesday morning when they spotted a 2014 Audi that matched the description of one reported stolen three weeks before.

Police reviewed surveillance footage, which showed four suspects driving into the parking lot and getting out of the car.

When the suspects returned to the vehicle a short time later, police arrested three of them without incident. The fourth tried to run but was arrested after a chase.

All four suspects are charged with possession of stolen property above $5,000, and possession under $5,000.

A 34-year-old, 36-year-old, and a 48-year-old are also charged with failure to comply with a release order.

The 36-year-old is also facing a failure to comply with a probation order count, and the 34-year-old is cited for driving with a suspended licence.

The charges have not been proven in court.
