People allegedly trying to sell stolen items got a surprise when the buyers turned out to be Windsor Police officers.
Officers responded to a break-and-enter at a storage unit on Walker Road on October 18.
The complainant reported several items stolen, including two sets of expensive running shoes.
Five days later, the complainant found the shoes for sale online and contacted the police. Investigators posed as interested buyers, and arrested three suspects without incident.
After the arrest officers executed a search warrant and found brass knuckles, fentanyl, and dilaudid.
A 24-year-old is faces trafficking property obtained by crime, possession of a prohibited weapon, drug possession for trafficking, possession of stolen property, and failure to comply with a release order charges.
Two 39-year-olds have been charged with possession of stolen property and drug possession for trafficking.
