There's a new website dedicated to helping people find jobs in the electric vehicle sector in Windsor.
The site was launched by Invest WindsorEssex and Workforce WindsorEssex with support of FedDev Ontario. It includes job postings, career path information, and training opportunities for people interested in getting into the EV field.
"We tried to put everything EV related together so jobs, researching a career, understanding what training, education and upscaling programs are available as well as funding resources and how you can access them," said Justin Falconer, CEO of Workforce WindsorEssex.
The EV Careers site is live now and includes postings for up to 30 jobs. Officials say the postings will grow as more companies make the transition to electric vehicle manufacturing.
"I think it is really going to help streamline and ensure that we are getting the right workers to take up the right positions and provide workers with opportunities and the support that they need to bring themselves to the next level," said Minister Filomena Tassi, the minister responsible for the federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
