A husband and wife from Windsor are now $550,000 richer after playing an interactive scratch-off game.
Minh Quang Chung and Tran Truong picked up their prize last week at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, right after spinning a physical Bigger Spin wheel which landed on the prize.
Tran stopped in a store to purchase a Bigger Spin scratch-off ticket and revealed the word "spin".
"I called Quang, and we had no idea what it meant at first. Quang came to the store to meet me," said Tran. "Even after leaving the store, we didn't believe it."
The ticket was then validated in the store, and the couple spun a virtual wheel on the terminal screen. It came up as Bigger Spin, which resulted in a trip to Toronto to spin an actual wheel for the biggest prizes.
"I thought the wheel would be heavy, so I gave it a spin with all my might," said Quang. "It took me a minute to process it landed on $550,000."
The couple plans to travel and invest some of the winnings.
The Bigger Spin is a $10 scratch-off that offers an instant prize ranging from $10 to $150,000 or a "spin". A virtual spin, which is always a winner, ranges from $20 to $150,000. Should the virtual spin reveal "Bigger Spin", the player travels to the OLG in Toronto for a chance to spin for up to $1-million.
The winning ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven in west Windsor.
