Threat made at Belle River high school

The Ontario Provincial Police evacuated Belle River District High School after a threat was called into the school Friday.

Officials placed the school into lockdown and contacted police after receiving the call from the unknown person.

Officers went to the school and students exited safely. There were no injuries reported.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the threat to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the Windsor and Essex County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
