Santa Claus Parade returns to Windsor with Holiday Market

Now that Bright Lights Windsor is underway, residents can enjoy another holiday tradition, the 55th Annual Santa Claus Parade.

The parade is back downtown, promising to be a twinkling spectacle with festive floats and entertainment.

The parade gets underway at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the corner of Wyandotte Street and Ouellette Avenue. From there, it'll head north to Riverside Drive before turning left to Caron Avenue.

Before you find a spot on the sidewalk, the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association hopes you'll shop for gifts at the Downtown Holiday Market.

From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, the market will transform the Pelissier Street Parking Garage into a winter wonderland.

"This year, we're so excited to offer an expanded holiday experience with both the Santa Claus Parade and the Holiday Market," said chair Chris MacLeod. "The combination of both a traditional parade and the bustling market will no doubt create a memorable and festive evening for residents and visitors."
