Sally Ann makes Christmas merry for over 1,700 kids

A holiday toy drive in Windsor-Essex helped bring smiles to many kids across the region.

The Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope held its annual toy distribution between December 12 and 15, collecting and distributing toys and gifts to 1,738 children across the region for Christmas.

"I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made this possible," said Salvation Army Major Danny Pinksen. "Their commitment to giving back to the community has brought smiles and happiness to the faces of countless children and families."

Donations from across Windsor-Essex helped make the gifts possible for those less fortunate, aged from birth to 13. Starting in November, the Windsor Centre of Hope began welcoming those who had pre-registered. Volunteers and staff were available to help with the entire process.

Complete information on the Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope, and on how to donate, can be found on its official website.
