Canada's fastest-growing low-cost airline is preparing to add another direct flight from Windsor.
Flair Airlines confirmed Monday afternoon that it is adding a direct route from Windsor International Airport (YQG) to Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
Garth Lund, Chief Commercial Officer for Flair Airlines, said Windsor has been a key component of the carrier's network, and this new route adds to Flair's commitment to the region.
"Windsor has been an important market for us, and we’re excited to increase our service in and out of the airport with the addition of service to Vancouver," said Lund. "We want to give Windsorites affordable options to travel across the country, coast to coast, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Windsor International Airport."

The new route will take off on June 10 and be offered twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Fares to Vancouver will run between $49 and $79 one-way, including taxes and fees. The actual flight will be about five hours each way.
Flair also offers direct flights to Halifax and Tuscon, Arizona, depending on the season. Another direct route to Montreal was put on hold last month, at least temporarily.
Booking is now available for the Vancouver flights by visiting the official Flair Airlines website.
