The Windsor Wild Winter Female Hockey Tournament kicks off Friday.
The Sun Parlour Female Hockey Association will host nearly 40 house league teams and 7 travel teams from all over Ontario and Michigan for the three day tournament.
"We are very excited to host this year's tournament," said SPFHA’s Tournament Director, Katie Doe. "Our goal is to continue to foster a love for the game for female hockey players in our area. We have divisions ranging from U9 through U22.”
The Round Robin games start at 10 a.m. at the WFCU Centre and continue through Saturday evening.
The annual skills competition takes place at 8 p.m. in the WFCU main bowl. Each team will send a representative to take part in skill competitions like fastest skater, shot accuracy and others.
The quarter, semi, and final games are scheduled for Sunday.
