Riverfront searched for missing Windsor man

Windsor police confirm the search for a missing man has moved to a new location.

An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) dive team was on the riverfront at Alexander Park on Wednesday, accompanied by a vehicle from Windsor police's Emergency Services Unit.

Windsor Police told WindsorNewsToday.ca on Thursday it was related to the disappearance of 64-year-old Scott Kersey. No additional information has been provided.

Kersey has been missing since Christmas Day 2023. He is described as a Black male, 5'3", and weighing 100 pounds. At the time he was last seen, Hersey was wearing a white suit with black lapels and boots.

Last week, police searched areas of west Windsor that included Ojibway Park, Black Oak Heritage Park, and Malden Park.
