A Windsor woman has turned a $100 bet into a million-dollar windfall.
Kyanne Dailey picked up a $100 Ultimate OLG game, which employs both scratch-off and draw components. She matched the draw number selected on January 4, and ended up with one of 40 $1-million prizes.
Dailey picked up her cheque at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
"I kind of freaked out and paced my home, not accepting that it was real. I double-checked on the OLG app and saw the Big Winner screen," said Dailey. "I had to check it so many times to make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me."
The wife and mother said she only occasionally plays the lottery, and only if a jackpot is high enough and for higher-stakes games.
Dailey says she is considering real estate as an investment with the winnings, but she plans to consult a professional.
She picked up her ticket at a Real Canadian Superstore in west Windsor.
The $100 Ultimate game was offered for a limited time.
