Windsor police and fire personnel were on the scene of a fire on the edge of the downtown core.
Few details are available, but Windsor Fire and Rescue was called shortly after 11 a.m. to Ouellette Avenue between Erie Street and Elliott Street.
The building involved was a 12-story apartment building. Fire officials reported damage to at least one unit on the 10th floor.
The fire was brought under control around noon, according to fire officials. Callers to the newsroom reported that the fire was extinguished at around 3:30 p.m.
Windsor police also reported that they were in the area for a hazardous materials-related concern and that a section of Ouellette was closed to traffic.
