Windsor police have released additional details about an incident at a local mall.
Officers were called to the mall shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, and found one of the mall entrances destroyed and broken glass scattered.
Police learned that two people had used their vehicle to ram the entrance. Once inside, they allegedly rammed the security gate of a jewelry store. The pair stole an undisclosed inventory amount and fled the scene in the same vehicle.
Soon after this incident, officers were called to Lauzon Road off Yolanda Street and discovered that the vehicle used in the robbery had been set on fire.
No one was injured in either incident.
Police have released surveillance camera images of the vehicle being driven into the store and have asked the public to see if they can identify a suspect seen in the video.
