Two men hospitalized, charged after Windsor stabbings

Windsor police say two men are in hospital after they allegedly stabbed each other during a fight early Tuesday morning.

It happened in a home on Byng Road near Calderwood on the south end. Officers were called to a report of an injured person at around 5 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest. Lifesaving measures were taken before the man was rushed to hospital.

Police then learned that another man had left the house just before officers arrived. This second man was found in the area of Walker Road and Melinda, also suffering from multiple stab wounds. The man was also rushed to hospital.

It turned out that the two men, who knew each other, allegedly stabbed each other during an argument and are now hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Both men, Windsor residents aged 33 and 25, are charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. The 25-year-old also faces a count of breach of probation.

Anyone with information should call the Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
