Circulation up at Windsor Public Library

The Windsor Public Library had more visitors in 2023 and experienced an increase in circulation.

A report presented to the Windsor Public Library board Tuesday indicated the nine branches of the Windsor Public Library saw an 11 per cent increase of books and other materials lent out in 2023 compared to 2022.

The Muir, Riverside, and Fontainebleau branches experienced the largest increase in circulation throughout the year.

As of December 31, 2023, 98,129 people held library cards, a 2.3 per cent increase from the previous year. All library accounts are considered active if there has been activity on the account in the last three years.

The libraries had 43,000 people attend programs in 2023, surpassing even pre-covid attendance numbers.
