Over $4,500 of illegal drugs seized during investigation

Police seized over $4,500 in illegal drugs and a weapon during a recent investigation by the Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit.

On Thursday, officers searched a home on Hildegarde Road a seized carious amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, and oxycodone. They also recovered a handheld taser, $970 in cash, a digital scale, and drug packaging materials.

At around 12:30 p.m. a suspect was arrested on Howard Avenue.

The 42-year-old was charged with multiple counts of possession of a scheduled substance for trafficking and failure to comply with a release order.
