The John McGivney Children's Centre received a major donation to support its specialized programming.
The Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation donated $200,000 to support the rehabilitation and childhood development programs.
This is not the first time the foundation has donated to the children's centre. In total, the foundation has committed $310,000 to the children's centre.
“Their remarkable investments in JMCC help us in our ongoing commitment to ensuring kids and youth with disabilities and developmental differences receive quality, family-centred care in state-of-the-art facilities,” said Jennifer Jovanovski, JMCC CEO.
The centre's family waiting area has been officially renamed the Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation Family Waiting Area.
