The Essex County Steam and Gas Engine Museum plans to build an addition to its existing building.
The museum, located in Co-An Park just outside of McGregor, needs more space to display its 19th Century and early 20th Century steam and gas-powered antique tractors, so it's asking for support from the Town of Amherstburg and the Town of Essex.
The expansion is on the agenda for Amherstburg's council meeting on Monday night.
Although the museum plans to pay for the addition itself, it still needs approval for permits and the design plans.
Co-An Park is jointly owned by the two towns, and Essex and Amherstburg are in the midst of a redevelopment process, although the expansion shouldn't impact those plans.
There's a second open house on those redevelopment plans in March.
It moved to the park in 2008.
