A "girl group" with a string of hits throughout the 1990s will perform those hits in Windsor this spring.
The four-time Grammy Award-winning TLC will be joined by C + C Music Factory on the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor stage on May 16.
The group, currently a duo consisting of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, is the best-selling American "girl group" of all time. Watkins and Thomas continued to perform after the death of bandmate Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes in a 2002 car crash.
TLC put out nine singles that registered in the U.S. top ten. Four of them, "Creep", "No Scrubs", "Unpretty", and their signature "Waterfalls", went to number one.
The band has recorded five studio albums, and over a dozen compilation albums were released. TLC's most successful album, 1994's "CrazySexyCool", sold 15-million copies worldwide.
C + C Music Factory also had a string of hits in the early 1990s, including "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)", its only U.S. number-one hit. The group had six singles top the U.S. Dance chart, including "Things That Make You Go Hmmm..." and "Do You Wanna Get Funky?"
Tickets for the May 16 performance, for ages 19 and older, go on sale for Caesars Rewards members at 10 a.m. on Wednesday and to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday. Tickets can be purchased on the Caesars Windsor website or Ticketmaster. The Caesars Windsor box office is open on Friday and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and on show days from noon to 10 p.m.
