The Town of LaSalle has once again reopened a public pool that was closed twice this week.
LaSalle's recreation department announced Tuesday afternoon that the Vollmer Centre's aquatic centre reopened for evening programming.
The pool area was first closed Sunday afternoon after a deer crashed through a window and jumped into the water. The pool was cleared of people while the animal was coaxed out. No one was hurt, but there was blood in the pool, likely caused when the deer went through the window.
The swimming pool was reopened Monday afternoon but closed soon after, when someone taking a swimming lesson cut their foot on a piece of glass still at the bottom.
"Divers performed an extensive sweep of the pool in the aquatic centre at the Vollmer Centre [Tuesday] morning and have advised the administration that they believe it is safe for patrons to be allowed back in the pool for normal operation and programming," read a release from the Town of LaSalle.
The Town said any lessons that were cancelled due to the closures would be credited to people's accounts.
The Vollmer's hot tub is closed until further notice.
