Windsor police crack down with two days of enforcement blitzes

Windsor police officers were busy this week with stopping speeders and distracted drivers.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Windsor police officers were stationed all over the city conducting enforcement blitzes.

The first blitz, on Tuesday, took place at multiple locations. Police reported that 101 enforcement actions were issued, through citations and other notices.

One driver was charged on Tuesday for driving while under criminal suspension, driving while suspended, using an unauthorized licence plate, operating without insurance, and speeding. His vehicle was impounded for 45 days.

The second blitz, on Wednesday, concentrated on the intersections of E.C. Row Expressway and Howard Avenue, Tecumseh Road East and Lauzon Parkway, and Tecumseh Road East and Walker Road.

Officers issued 31 enforcement actions on Wednesday.
