The union representing high school teachers at the Greater Essex County District School Board has a tentative agreement for over 900 members.
It reached the tentative deal on Thursday afternoon.
The agreement's fine print will remain under wraps until members of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation District 9 and school board trustees ratify it.
It must be ratified before March 28, and the contract will remain in place until August 31, 2026.
"The tentative agreement was arrived at through an interest-based bargaining process and represents the best locally-negotiated agreement possible for both parties," said the school board's statement.
The provincial union and the province have sought the help of an arbitrator to reach an agreement.
