Windsor police located a suspect armed with a knife.
A police presence was reported in the area of California Avenue and Tecumseh Road West, around 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers learned that the suspect got into a verbal altercation with a group of young people, pulled out a knife, and chased them. The suspect then ran eastbound along Tecumseh Road West.
No one was hurt.
Police released the description and a photo of the suspect during the investigation.
Within an hour police posted to social media that the suspect was in custody, located at a home on Mark Avenue off Tecumseh Road West.
The suspect has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The charges have not been proven in court.
