Windsor and Essex County residents looking to kick off the March Break with something new may want to visit the University of Windsor campus this weekend.
The first "Togetherfest", on Saturday and Sunday at the Toldo Lancer Centre, will feature more than 60 vendors and 18 entertainers representing the region's diversity of cultural and community groups.
Vendors include Yassmen's Shop, Sunset Gourmet, and Lucky Pups Bakery. There will be displays from groups like HMS Hunter, the Alzheimer's Society of Windsor Essex, and the Windsor Essex Community Health Centre. Meanwhile, acts like the Academie Ste. Cecile Dancers, Windsor Light Music Theatre, and singer Travis Robinson entertain the crowd.
The family-focused weekend is accessible for all ages and backgrounds with a games zone, traditional foods, and crafts.
The University of Windsor partnered with the Rotary Club of Windsor and the Bulimia Anorexia Nervosa Association to present the event.
Doors are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and tickets are $5 at the door, although children under five can get in free.
Organizers will collect non-perishable donations for the University of Windsor Student Food Pantry.
