A legendary rock guitarist is bringing a blues-based show to Windsor this summer.
Slash, best known as the lead guitarist for Guns N' Roses, will bring the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival to the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor on July 27. S.E.R.P.E.N.T. stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality, N’ Tolerance.
"The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour is a celebration of Blues and Rock ‘N’ Roll music, and a celebration of unity and togetherness in these uncertain and divisive times," said Slash in a media release. "S.E.R.P.E.N.T. is a vehicle to help support and uplift people and communities suffering from the injustices of racism and equal rights violations, as well as to support children adversely affected by war and poverty across the world."
One dollar from every ticket sold will benefit charities such as the Equal Justice Initiative, Know Your Rights Camp, The Greenlining Institute, and War Child.
Keb’ Mo’, ZZ Ward, and Robert Randolph will join Slash on stage.
Tickets for the 19-and-older show go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday for Caesars Rewards members, and at 10 a.m. on Friday for the general public.
Purchases can be made through the official Caesars Windsor website or Ticketmaster. The Caesars Windsor box office is open Friday and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m., and on show days from noon to 10 p.m.
