The City of Windsor is once again helping to control the feral cat population in the city by offering spay/neuter vouchers.
As part of the 2024 budget, councillors approved $20,000 to provide 260 vouchers to residents.
The vouchers are redeemable for $75 for participating veterinarians to perform the sterilization surgery.
The vouchers are also available for low-income families to spay or neuter family-owned cats.
There is a maximum of two vouchers per household.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, Windsor residents can call 311 to request vouchers. They will be delivered by mail to the applicant.
The vouchers can be redeemed before May 24, 2024.
