Fifth arrest after two assaulted outside Windsor bar

A 26-year-old man faces two counts of aggravated assault after two men were beaten with beer bottles and kicked outside of a Windsor bar last weekend.

The suspect is the fifth person arrested after the incident on Ouellette Avenue early Saturday morning.

Members of the Windsor Police Problem-Oriented Policing Unit arrested the man at his home on Goyeau Street on Sunday.

Paramedics took the victims, aged 18 and 19, to the hospital with serious injuries to their heads and necks after the assault.

Four other suspects, between the ages of 24 and 26, were arrested at the scene, and each one faces two counts of aggravated assault.
