Public invited to vote on Break the Vape video contest entries

Students in grades six to 12 across Windsor and Essex County have put their filmmaking skills to the test, and now the public gets to have its say.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has opened public voting for the best submissions to its Break the Vape PSA Video contest.

The top five videos in two categories, grades six to eight and nine to 12, are posted on the health unit's website.

Youth judges chose the best of the almost 100 submissions after three rounds of voting. The public will pick the third, second, and first-place winners. The health unit announces the winners on May 1.

The public can vote once a day until midnight on April 26.

The contest was aimed at raising awareness of the dangers of vaping and expose the marketing tactics of the tobacco industry.
