Business owners in Leamington will now enjoy a streamlined process for their licensing.
The Municipality has launched its new e-permitting system on Cloudpermit, a community development software system.
"The Cloudpermit system simplifies the entire business licensing process, allowing it to be managed electronically, from the initial application submission and payment to the final approval," read a release from the Municipality. "This user-friendly online program enables applicants to track the status of their applications. Moreover, it offers a unique advantage for entrepreneurs with multiple businesses, allowing them to handle all their licensing needs in one convenient online location."
Leamington CAO Peter Neufeld called the launch of Cloudpermit an important step in making municipal business efficient for business owners and residents.
"This transition to an end-to-end electronic permitting process not only enhances our customer service but also contributes to reducing the overall cost of service delivery for the Municipality," said Neufeld.
Leamington introduced a similar e-permitting system for building permits and land development applications in 2022.
