Kingsville Music Festival announces 10th anniversary lineup

The Kingsville Music Festival returns for its 10th year this August, bringing an eclectic blend of musical genres with acts from across the country.

The festival will have three daytime stages and an evening main stage setup throughout Kingsville's Mettawas Park.

"It's really chill, super laid back. You come in the gate and you can just wander around. There's a vendor village, there's food vendors. During the day Saturday there's three daytime stages you can go check out and we put together a bunch of different acts and see what happens on stage together," said co-founder Michele Law

This year's line-up includes the multi-horn funk bank My Son the Hurricane along with Elliott Brood and local band Fresh Breath.

"It's all styles of music. I think that's the big thing. It's not genre specific, it's every style of music you can think of but it's presented in more of an acoustic way," said Law.

The festival runs from August 9 to 11.

Tickets are $80 for the weekend of $50 for a day pass. Tickets for those aged 17-25 are $20 while kids 16 and under are free.

A portion of the proceeds goes toward the MAY Fund to provide scholarships for youth pursuing the arts in post-secondary education.
