Gearheads and classic car fans will now have a chance to show off their rides during a municipality's birthday this summer.
The Municipality of Leamington has announced a pair of car shows and a Dream Cruise are scheduled for Saturday, June 29, as part of Leamington's 150th birthday celebration.
"This event is a wonderful opportunity for both residents and visitors to experience the charm of our town," said Mayor Hilda MacDonald. "We invite everyone to join us as we drive down memory lane and celebrate our history and community spirit."
The Dream Cruise will take place from noon to 3 p.m., from the Leamington Fairgrounds to the Leamington Dock. A special car show will be at the dock from 1 to 3 p.m.
After the cruise, the scene will shift to Uptown Leamington for a car show from 4 to 10 p.m. Vehicles will be parked and on display along Talbot Street West, Queen Avenue, and John Street. There will also be live music at the same time at the Italian Centennial Park on John Street.
