Those going to this year's LaSalle Strawberry Festival can now buy their tickets online.
The event runs from June 6 to June 9 at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex.
The Town of LaSalle said there are advantages to buying tickets in advance. Those patrons can skip the payment line at the front gate. They'll automatically be entered into a draw for a LaSalle Strawberry Festival prize package.
Admission is $5, although children five and under and seniors 65 and up can enter for free.
Weekend passes are available for $12.
Meanwhile, organizers are calling for volunteers to help clean strawberries on June 5.
Anyone who wants to participate in that annual tradition can meet at the Event Centre on Front Road at 6 p.m. High school students looking for volunteer hours for graduation are welcome.
The LaSalle Strawberry Festival Parade is set for Saturday, June 8, starting at 10 a.m. on Front Road at Old Front Road. The procession will end at Sacred Hart Drive.
Streets perpendicular to Front Road between Old Front Road and Sacred Heart Drive will close at 9:30 a.m. and reopen around 10:45 a.m.
Entertainment this year includes the Miss LaSalle Pageant on Thursday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m. on the main stage followed by River Honey at 9:30 p.m. On Friday night, Carson Janik will perform at 8:30 p.m. Leave Those Kids Alone is scheduled to perform on the final day at 1:30 p.m.
